Male boudoir is more common than you think. In fact, it’s just as common as boudoir for women. We often forget that men seek to feel sexy, be acknowledged, and carry the same sense of confidence as women do.
Getting sexy photos done is about far more than just the imagery, it’s about the experience.
One of my favorite quotes by Maya Angelou says:
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Isn’t that the truth?
Boudoir is for everybody! That includes male boudoir!
I’ve certainly had quite a few men call me and ask me if I do male boudoir. Yes, yes I certainly do. Boudoir is for everybody and every body! Why limit such a beautiful experience to one sex or gender?
I think everyone should allow themselves the opportunity to create new experiences, regularly, that honor who they are and even, where they are. That includes male boudoir!

It’s such a random story but I’m going to share it with you anyway 🙂
I got home and drove up into my driveway. My children were young and, at that time, I was hauling car seats, strollers, diaper bags, toys, etc… You name it!
Then I hear a voice from behind me say “That’s a lot!”
I laughed. He laughed. We laughed.
He was doing the landscaping for my neighbor across the street; ripping up parts of the driveway, creating an entirely new multi-level terrain in its place, and planting beautiful greenery.
We started chatting to realize we knew a lot of the same people.
That “chat” kept going for about an hour or two and we’ve remained friends since.
He said “yes” to male boudoir!
When I decided to expand my photography skills, become more diverse and inclusive in boudoir, and open up the experience to everybody, I put up a Facebook post asking who might be interested.
The same cool guy I met on my driveway years before, and who I have remained friends with, said “yes”.
So we did!
What I was expecting
Just kidding, I didn’t know what to expect from my first male boudoir session. How could I? I had never done it before.
I left the experience open to creativity and connection.
