I went to Texas and met this beauty!!!
I headed off for a small getaway to visit a long-time friend and was asked to be a part of the bridal boudoir session they were planning! YES! Count me in! Definitely YES!
We had so much fun all day, followed by a BBQ. I learned that a BBQ in Texas is drastically different than what a BBQ here in Alberta is. I also found out that my Canadian money had little to no value when I wanted to jump into the Super Bowl pool. Thanks for spotting me, friends!
My friend and host, Amanda from Amanda Lynn Photography was unbelievable. I had never been before and couldn’t wait to just get there. So often, we tell we people we miss them and want to see them and “should get together”. We had said it enough times that I figured we were either going to do it or we weren’t. So I booked a flight that day. We made plans. We had amazing dinners and tried new recipes. We went for runs in the beautiful Cypress area. We came up with new business ideas for us both.
We even did a mini-session of her and her family. I think we all know that every photographer goes without photos of themselves. My husband says it’s like a mechanic with a broken-down car. And as a woman who does boudoir photography, I thought it would be an amazing opportunity to also get in front of the camera. She and I did a boudoir session for each other and I got to experience what it’s like for my clients. I figure that’s pretty important.
Was I uncomfortable at first! YOU BET! Did I get into it? ABSOLUTELY!
Shelly was a part of our girl time and has also become a friend! Her boudoir session is one of the most elegant boudoir sessions I’ve done to date. Scroll through to see her impeccable smile!
Thanks for the fun, you two girls! I can’t wait to do it again 🙂
